TIP Leave your Scoop lantern outside all year round 1. Turn the black bottom ring and remove from the Scoop lantern. Then place the gas cartridge upright in the bottom ring. 2. Turn the bottom ring, including the gas cartridge, in the Scoop lantern and screw the ring clockwise to the right. 3. Make sure the gas lantern is placed upwards and stands on a stable, noncombustible surface. Ignite with the lighter whilst keeping it against the burning pipe. Next turn on the control knob to the left and the Scoop gas lantern will start to burn. 4. Switch off the Scoop gas lantern by turning the control knob completely to the right – this should extinguish the flame. Store in a well-ventilated place. 27.
