Since FC Abcoude took over the organisation of the tournament a few years ago, it’s been a roaring success, becoming the biggest seniors’ tournament in the Amsterdam region. The organiser, FC Abcoude, boasts almost 100 teams and a couple of thousand members. On a normal weekend it gets really busy at the sports park, let alone when another 1,000 international guests from seven countries pop by: the terrace is buzzing and the BBQ works overtime. Around 60 teams from 7 countries made 2019 a real international competition. At the Amsterdam Tournament you really have to put your back into it. The great thing is that no matter what language you speak, everyone shares the same passion for football.
