What’s more, finding this atmospheric centre is a piece of cake: just head through the city along the Rhine and you’ll simply end up in the old town, by the Haymarket area and the famous cathedral. Cologne is an especially hospitable city and easy to navigate, making it the perfect place for a weekend of football with your teammates. Play takes place at SC Borussia Lindenthal-Hohenlind, the neighbours of 1. FC Köln. The pitches are situated alongside the impressive RheinEnergie stadium, home to this Bundesliga club. At the last edition of the Rheintal Trophy, teams from Belgium, France, the Netherlands and, of course, Germany itself made their way to the Müngersdorf sports park on the outskirts of the city. The organiser is an active club which, alongside the Rheintal Trophy I and II, organises football camps for young people.
