Our coir mats are made of coconut bark fibers and by using a traditional weaving method that uses a loom. No less than 40 coconuts are used to produce one doormat! The coconuts are hand-picked. The bark is then cleaned in water after which the fibers are separated from the bark. After the doormats are woven on large looms, the separate mats are cut out and a funny text or catchy design is added. 178
