Wood species Accoya, Cumaru Chestnut, Oak Larch/Douglas In addition to its unique properties and characteristics, each type of wood also has its own durability class. The durability class of wood indicates how long a wood species can last. For example, wood with durability class 1 has a longer lifespan than wood with durability class 5. See the table for an overview of the types of wood used by Timberlab and the associated classes. Our products are usually used untreated. The Larch/Douglas fir is only used in combination with an above-ground base support or holder in order to achieve the intended lifespan. 9
