Vem var Lisa Larson? En av Sveriges mest välkända keramiska formgivare – älskad för sina figuriner och sitt porslin sedan 1950-talet. Lisa var en kattälskare hela livet. Hon gjorde sin första keramikkatt redan under studietiden på konstskolan, och den blev en del av hennes första framgångsrika serie Lilla Zoo på Gustavsbergs Porslinsfabrik 1955. Det var den första av många humoristiska katter. Varje jul gjorde Lisa änglar av papper till sin egen julgran, och dessa änglar följer den traditionen. Hon skapade också ljusstakar i keramik i form av änglar för att lysa upp de mörka vinternätterna. Who was Lisa Larson? One of Sweden’s most well-known ceramic designers. Loved for her figurines and tableware since the 1950’s. Lisa was a cat lover all her life. She first make a ceramic cat while still at art school and it became part of her first success series Lilla Zoo at Gustavsberg Porcellain Factory in 1955. This was the first of many humorous cats. Every Christmas, Lisa made angels of paper for her own Christmas tree and these angels follow that tradition. She also made candle holders in ceramic in the shape of angels to light up the dark winter nights. Två av Stigs mest omtyckta mönster Berså och Herbarium är än i dag tidlösa kalssiker i många hem. Who was Stig Lindberg? Stig Lindberg was active for four decades and is considered one of Sweden’s most important and prominent designers. He was an artist, designer, painter and illustrator. He worked with materials such as ceramics, glass and textile to name a few. Two of Stig’s most beloved patterns, Berså and Herbarium, are still timeless classics in many homes today. 45

När Tove Jansson under 1940-talet skapade Mumin var det oklart om böckerna var skrivna för barn eller vuxna. I dag vet vi att Mumins beundrarskara består av personer i alla åldrar, och de uppskattas inte bara som historier i böcker eller på film utan också som designföremål. Pluto har gjort sin tolkning av Mumin i en serie produkter. When Tove Jansson during the 1940’s created Moomin, it was unclear whether the books were written for children or adults. Today, we know that the fans of the Moomins are represented by people of all ages. The Moomins are not only appreciated as stories in books or on film, but also as design pieces. Pluto has made its own interpretation of the Moomins in a number of products. 47

Sustainability at Pluto We strive for our business operations to be conducted in a sustainable and ethical manner, with respect for the environment, and with the understanding that we have limited resources and respect for human rights. In our production, we work with suppliers that have ISO certificates and who work ethically with their production processes. The majority of our thin metal products are made of 100% recycled metal.
