Harbour information The 4 municipal harbours Grou We would like to welcome you to the 4 municipal harbours of Grou. As a visitor you can dock in the 4 different municipal harbours. The Pikmeerhaven, the Hellingshaven, the Nieuwe Kade and the Suderkade. The centre of Grou is located in the middle of these 4 harbours within a short walking distance. On the jetties you will find facilities for electricity, water and waste. The Pikmeerhaven Public sanitary facilities can be found at the Havenhûs (Meersweg 9a). Open to visitors of the municipal harbours, the toilets can only be used via an access code. You will find this code on your receipt. The sanitary facilities at the Sailing Centre are not part of the municipal facilities. The facilities here are open from 7 a.m. tot 10 p.m. and if desired, you will receive an access code, the cost of using the showers is € 1. The waste can be deposited in one of the recreational waste containers at various places in and around the harbour. The Hellingshaven A sheltered harbour for about 40 boats with a maximum length of 12 meters. Caution! Ongoing construction. In the Hellingshaven there are separate toilets, the nearest showers can be found in the Havenhûs and under the bandstand on the Halbertsma’s Plein, open (in the months of June, July and August) from 7 am to 10 pm, after which the toilets are closed. The waste can be deposited in one of the recreational waste containers in the harbour. De Nieuwe Kade With a view of the Saint Piter Church, you are in the old centre of Grou. The nearest sanitary facilities can be found under the bandstand on Halbertsma’s Plein. The waste can be deposited behind the wooden fence on the jetty in the recreational waste containers.. The Suderkade With a view of the Saint Piter Church, you are in the old centre of Grou. The nearest sanitary facilities can be found under the bandstand on Halbertsma’s Plein. The waste can be deposited in the recreational waste containers, behind the house on the Suderkade, accessible via the passage between the houses. Waste water drainage You can empty your waste water tank at the FRO quay of the Hellingshaven and at jetty C in Pikmeerhaven. The green loan bike Use the green bike for free if you need to go a bit further than the town centre. For example, to visit the pharmacy, the library or the station. Ask the Harbour master about the options. Harbour fees, water tourist tax and facilities After arrival, you can report to the harbour office from 2 p.m., the harbour master will also visit you. The costs for electricity, water and sanitation are included in the port dues. Except when using showers in the Sailing Centre (€ 1) For security reasons, we ask you to pay with debit card, credit card or via the payment app on your own phone (if you arrange your banking via your phone). The access code for the municipal sanitary facilities is on the payment receipt.
