In October 2014 a delegation from NOC*NSF and its Partners in Sport visited the GEO school in the district of Santa Teresa, Rio. To make sure that the legacy of the GEO project is maintained on an even firmer footing after 2016 – not just for today’s GEO students, but especially for future generations – a number of the NOC*NSF’s local Partners in Sport decided to embrace the GEO project and to lend it their support. The Partners in Sport are not only giving financial support, but also contributing their knowledge and expertise and drawing GEO into their wider network. With this support, the Partners in Sport have significantly boosted the GEO project and have helped to enhance the personal development of the students, teachers and other staff of the GEO schools. The NOC*NSF’s Partners in Sport The Rabobank, EY, PON and Zilveren Kruis are sponsoring the GEO project. NOC*NSF is truly delighted with their contributions, which have enabled those involved in GEO to reach and inspire even more children from Rio’s slums. O motivo era enraizar ainda mais o legado do projeto GEO após 2016, não apenas para os alunos de hoje, mas também para as futuras gerações do projeto GEO. Durante aquela visita, alguns Parceiros no Esporte do NOC*NSF decidiram abraçar e apoiar o Projeto GEO. Além de contribuições financeiras, os Parceiros no Esporte também oferecem conhecimento, expertise e sua rede de contatos. O apoio dos Parceiros no Esporte deu um estímulo importante ao projeto GEO e contribuiu para o desenvolvimento pessoal de alunos, professores e colaboradores das escolas do projeto.
