Together with our clients, we decide collectively which maintenance or overhaul or repair are necessary for this. Usually we end up with a combination of periodic work and inspections that need to be carried out annually and agreed upon in a service level agreement (SLA). Usually such agreements already exist with the OEM of the machine or machinery concerned. But that isn’t always necessary... just like a car doesn’t have to go to a brand auto repair shop for maintenance, but rather a professional repair shop. It’s sometimes surprising which kind of improvements are possible in terms of availability and OEE just by employing a third person or party; a partner just like Veldkamp who only works on maintenance and OEE.
