Welcome to Grou The Mayor welcomes you Many enthusiasts look forward to the start of the boating season all year. Once the official go-ahead is given on 12 May, the great excitement begins for many. And regardless of whether you own a boat or not, it always creates a fantastic atmosphere on and around the water. This is certainly the case in Grou. This lovely village in the heart of Friesland lives and breathes water sports. This sailing season leads us into spring. We hope to enjoy the sun again in the coming months, as well as the wind. At a time when we are very aware of caring for a clean environment, both are key to getting about on the waters in and around Grou sustainably. We are finding more and more boats with electric motors and boats equipped with solar panels. Of course, sailing is the most sustainable method. How wonderful to see all those sailboats going across the lakes and canals around Grou. I am looking forward to it. As do domestic and foreign tourists visiting Friesland for a holiday or weekend getaway. Friesland is a beautiful region to enjoy, in both a relaxed and active way. Grou is a popular location for this. Besides being a great place to navigate and sail, there are also many opportunities for hiking and cycling. Along the water, or through the Alde Feanen nature reserve. I am proud of what Grou has to offer. With no fewer than two thousand hectares of land and over four hundred hectares of water, Grou is a beautiful part of the municipality of Leeuwarden. Mai das offizielle Startsignal gegeben wird, beginnt für viele der große Spaß. Und ob Sie selbst ein Boot besitzen oder nicht, es schafft immer eine angenehme Atmosphäre auf und am das Wasser. Das ist in Grou zweifelsohne der Fall. Dieses gemütliche Dorf im Herzen von Friesland lebt den Wassersport. Mit dieser Segelsaison beginnt der Frühling. In den kommenden Monaten hoffen wir, erneut die Sonne und den Wind genießen zu können. In einer Zeit, in der wir uns der Sorge um eine saubere Umwelt sehr bewusst sind, ist beides wichtig, um sich nachhaltig auf den Gewässern in und um Grou bewegen zu können. Immer häufiger trifft man auf Boote mit Elektromotoren und Boote, die mit Sonnenkollektoren ausgestattet sind. Segeln ist natürlich die nachhaltigste Art, sich auf dem Wasser zu bewegen. Es ist einfach wundervoll, all die Segelboote zu sehen, die auf den Seen und Kanälen rund um Grou segeln. Ich freue mich darauf. Das gilt auch für in- und ausländische Touristen, die Friesland für einen Urlaub oder einen Wochenendausflug besuchen. Friesland ist eine wunderschöne Provinz, um entspannt und aktiv die Natur zu genießen. Grou ist ein beliebter Ort dafür. Abgesehen davon, dass man wunderbar segeln und die Gewässer durchqueren kann, gibt es hier auch viele Wander- und Radfahrmöglichkeiten. Am Wasser entlang oder durch das Naturschutzgebiet Alde Feanen. Ich bin stolz auf das, was Grou zu bieten hat. Mit nicht weniger als zweitausend Hektar Land und mehr als vierhundert Hektar Wasser ist Grou ein sehr schöner Teil der Gemeinde Leeuwarden.
